Costa Rica Mission Trip 2020

Monday, April 13 to Saturday, April 18, 2020

REGISTRATION HAS OPENED to join our mission team traveling to Costa Rica during the schools’ spring break. Spots can fill up quickly, so sign up today!

For 2020 we are excited to announce the low trip cost of $1,500/person. Families are encouraged to sign up (ages 8 and up).

Non-refundable Deposit of $300 is due at Registration, and the Balance due February 11.

Deadline to signup is December 18, 2019.  Note: All trip payments are non-refundable and dates for mandatory team meetings will be announced closer to the trip.

THREE easy steps to be OFFICIALLY REGISTERED for the 2020 COSTA RICA MISSION TRIP: 1) Submit the $300/person non-refundable Deposit,  2)Email a clear, color copy of passport(s)* to Nancy Holmes in our Missions office at nholmes@mpumc.org and 3) Complete the Online Registration for each traveler.

Click on link to REGISTER and/or MAKE PAYMENTS FOR COSTA RICA   – – and don’t forget to email copy of your Passport per instructions above.  IMPORTANT: When registering with our new REALM software, sign in as a Church Member instead of Guest so that you can pay your balance at a later date, Guest will most likely be required to pay-in-full at signup.

                                                                              

 

Mission Purpose: Construction of a site that is determined by Costa Rica Missions Project.  Since 2003, we have sent mission teams to participate in projects to help the Methodist church in Southwest Costa Rica. We have participated in building two parsonages, two Sunday school classroom buildings, a home for the District Superintendent and the rebuilding of a Methodist camp near Rio Claro. Check back to see what exciting mission projects we will be a part of for this trip.

To know what meetings to expect prior to your trip:

Between mid-February and late-March: four meetings are scheduled for our Costa Rica mission team. These meetings are to discuss a book that everyone is required to read and for building relationships within our team before the trip.

Before the trip in April, there is a Team Packing gathering at the church that is required for each trip participant.

*Make certain that your passport expires at least 6 months after the trip’s return date. Two blank pages are required at all times of travel.
