One community of faith. Three ways to worship.

Myers Park United Methodist Church is located in the heart of Charlotte, NC. We are committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment where you can find community and cultivate a deeper relationship with God. Our church provides a safe and supportive space for you to ask questions about the Christian faith, explore its meaning, learn about the Bible, and make a difference in the world.

Traditional Worship: 8:30, 9:45, and 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Contemporary Worship: 8:45 a.m. in the Jubilee Hall

New here?
What should I expect in worship?

Expect to be welcomed and accepted just as you are. We currently offer Sanctuary worship at 8:30, 9:45, and 11 a.m. and Church in the Round, a more contemporary worship setting, at 8:45 a.m. in Jubilee Hall each Sunday.

Where do I go once I arrive?

If you are new to Myers Park UMC, park in the lot just south of the building or across Queens Rd from the church in the Hopedale Lot. The Sanctuary is located at the corner of Providence Rd and Queens Rd. A member of our usher team will be at any of those doors to guide you and answer questions that you may have.

Is Sunday school or child care available?

We have Sunday School for all ages in person at 9:45 a.m. Find out more about Adult Sunday School classes here. Children and Youth Sunday school is offered during the school year. You can find more information here about children’s Sunday school and Youth Sunday school, Starting Point.

Childcare is available for all worship services. Child care is available for infants, toddlers, and preschool children not yet in kindergarten.  If you have questions about child care, you can contact Danielle Prevatte.

Will I fit in?

Without question—if anyone does not feel welcome or accepted in our community, that is something we care about and want to work to change it as we believe the Church is meant to be a place of belonging and inclusion.

What is expected of me?

For our visitors, we don’t want you to feel like anything is expected of you. We want you to feel like our guests—and we promise not to put you on the spot while you are visiting or stalk you after you leave. What we do expect from everyone is a baseline of loving and accepting all people. We are committed to openly and lovingly journeying together.

How can I connect with others?

We offer a variety of ways to worship, learn, support, and serve throughout the week. Click here to for more information about what is going on at the church right now. Please feel free to call us, 704-376-8584, or send us a message if there is anything else we can do to help you get plugged in.
