Foundation is a six-week series designed to help you explore basics of the bible, church history, theology, United Methodism and Christian practices. Clergy will rotate leadership of the class using the weekly worship bulletin as “primary text” for each week. Classes will be held from 4-5:30 pm Sundays beginning January 2.

CONNECT @Myers Park is a 2-part class that will be offered at varying times of the year. Designed largely for new members as they complete Discover Myers Park, the class is available for anyone seeking a closer connection to others in our church family and wishing to find ways to be more active in the life of our church.

Short-term Groups meet for a defined period of time, usually no more than 8 weeks, to study a specific topic related to Christian living. These small groups begin at various times of the year including Advent and Lent seasons. Check our registration pages often for new groups!

Covenant Groups are long-term, ongoing groups which meet year round (or follow the school year calendar) and welcome new members who seek to grow in Christian relationship. Groups form for men and women, for moms, and for other age and stage-specific groups to include fellowship, prayer and bible or curriculum study.

Companions in Christ will give you a guide and a community to help you develop your spiritual practices. Through daily readings and exercises, reflection, and weekly meetings, you will be guided in exploring prayer, scripture, vocation, and spiritual friendship as avenues to deepen your faith. In the community of a small group setting you will find accountability, support and encouragement as you develop your own spiritual practices. Short- and long-term sessions are available.

Since 1987, Disciple Bible Study has reached nearly 3 million people worldwide, introducing the grand sweep of Scripture in a long-term format up to 34-weeks. At our church alone, nearly 1000 people have taken Disciple 1. Disciple classes present the Bible as the primary text, call for daily preparation from participants, and meet weekly – usually in two-hour sessions – for small group discussion and a video segment presenting the insights of biblical scholars. This year, we introduce Disciple Fast Track in the place of Disciple 1. Fast Track is a more condensed, 24-week study meeting for only 1 hour and fifteen minutes each week. A few other more advanced Disciple studies will also be offered. Registration begins in August and classes begin each year on the week of Labor Day.
